With the environment as a prompt, my attention is drawn to the potential adverse effects climate change has on the water supply of various communities across country Australia. Recognising their vulnerability, I aim to portray the decay of the land through the swatch. representing the interdependence between the river systems and the towns they support, while showcasing their beauty and complexity.
In terms of functionality, the objective is to create a garment associated with a feeling of security and warmth, specifically a vest. To optimize the quadrant, I plan to repurpose the remaining fabric as a separate bag that can be linked with zips.
